I find that I've noticed recently how many fillers there really are.

Also there are too many episodes where basically nothing happens and they just drag out 3 minutes worth of moving forward into a full episode.

Fillers aren't about grubbing for money; they're about padding content to avoid catching up with the manga. You actually rarely see true filler in this age of 1-or-2-cour adaptations. The industry has pretty much given up on adapting a series to completion, except for the most popular stuff.
