Guys, catching up takes effort. For me, two of my friends were studying Japanese and Chinese. Both got JLPT1 and the Chinese equivalent or were working on it, and my ego kinda got bruised because I've always thought of myself as just as capable of them.

That alone basically gave me at least half of all of the autism concentration I needed during my studies. I guess I thrive on rivalry.

What's the deal here? I can see that the ones in the first group are also adjectives, while the others are only nouns. Also, the bottom ones can be read in either on or kun (rikai doesn't know about にしきた, but weblio does).

So they are used differently in a consistent manner, but they're still considered complete synonyms (again, according to weblio).

Guys, I have a question.

I consider that I have no problems with grammar, I could say that I "intuitively" understand Japanese grammar since Korean is my mother tongue (long story, I won't delve into it). I went to Tae Kim's grammar guide and couldn't bother reading all of it, since when reading raw manga or watching raw episodes I don't have a problem understanding copulas and particles and whatnot.

So, my greatest weaknesses are kanji and vocabulary. Is it foolish to skip studying grammar and just tackle kanji and vocabulary? Also, KanjiCards seems to be the most useful site for kanji and vocabulary. Agree?

Yea thats the thing I don't get the 君に part but when you put it like that it makes a lot more sense. The passive with the volitional is kind of confusing for me at this stage as well.
