The actual content is garbage. I didn't even mind the art style when it aired, besides the choppiness. It is now the worst show I have ever watched due to how stupid the plot was, how drawn out it was, and how bad the characters were. The only thing it had going for it were the backgrounds.

My personal problem with Maoyuu was the disjointedness between episodes. Hero's here, then he's not. He's gonna fight an enemy, now it's three months later. It felt crammed and yet really thin at the same time. Just a bad mess of writing that massive tits could not save.

The problem with anime and Japan's taste is that they can't support everything all the time, especially with a megahit sitting in the same season, sucking up everyone's attention and money. Japan has bouts of decent taste, but what separates Girls und Panzer from C3-bu?
