I wonder why so many shows don't get this right? It's not like a well-guarded secret that sound doesn't travel through vacuum.

no I could not give less of a shit

I also don't care when people play Mario on xboxs in TV shows or when those guys in NCIS or whatever talk about hacking being like two ships in the middle of the ocean.

I also don't have autism. Not sure if those are related
>>
>>70329266
Having no sound in space adds tension and suspense to a scene - you can use it to great effect if you want the viewer to worry about the people on the spaceship. Firefly did this, but bear in mind in Firefly the central characters run a smuggling ship and rely on deception to get away from their pursuers, it makes sense to have that extra tension when doing ship-to-ship stuff. Compare to Star Wars, where ship-to-ship combat is this huge flashing lights and explosions action, where it'd be boring and worse entertainment if they didn't kick physics to the curb.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's a great touch when a series gets it right, but most times it adds something to the series rather than taking something away when they do include sounds in space.
>>

It's one of the oldest tricks in the book. How many times have you witnessed a scene with a long shot of a building or a car, and you hear people talking, and then the camera zooms in and actually shows the characters in question. This is a basic technique.

Different guide styles. Up to the last months all PHP projects had their own style guide and there's some quite messed up.
Right now I am working on FuelPHP and it suggests using && instead of AND and OR instead of ||.

That's true, but don't act like that's justifiable. A simple google search could have prevented those companies from being corrupted.
Better yet, if they'd hired professionals, nothing like that would ever have any chance of happening.

You seem to know a bit more than I do, I want to get started on a MVC-model, but I don't know which one. Any input? What's the most commonly used one in the industry right now?
>>
>>70330290
When anything hits you, you'll get sound. This happens because stuff hitting you makes you vibrate.

Now, if an explosion happens inside another ship, separated from you by space, then you won't hear anything.
>>
>>70330209
They could only mean 16 bit register, for addressing the CPU could have more bit for the address bus. The old 8086 CPU had 20 bit address bus (1 MB addressable), 8286 had 24 (16 MB)

We're talking about a language that has eval() and allows things like this:
> $one = "string";
> $string = "value";
> print $$one;
> // ^ this will print "value" because $$one resolves to ${$one} -> $string

Good luck with your static analysis.
