Of the friends that I have, about half are into anime and are always wanting to watch it or argue about shows with me and the other half either don't care or hate it even though they know I like it. For that half, when I am out with them, I do not bring up my hobby and nobody says anything about it.

From personal experience, the only people I could consider true friends are the ones who like anime. They are also the ones who come out to me about anime. I hide my power level well. Anyone who I thought I could be friends with, and who didn't like anime, turned out to be complete dicks in the end. Still, I moved away or they did. We keep in loose contact, though.

Now I just sit alone at my house. Whenever my younger brother and his gf come by we may watch something, but they enjoy entry level Bleach and shit.

I watch shows with my friend, but we talk via gtalk because we live on opposite sides of the country. Before each season starts, we pick some shows that seem good enough for both of us, watch those when they come out, and watch the other crap separate.
