BECAUSE BEE TRAIN NEEDS THEIR .HACK// MONEY. It was doubly disappointing because while the manga version wasn't great, more of an SOL version of the .hack world with more of the story happening towards the end, it was certainly better than that shit. They couldn't wait for a three volume series to be finished to make a better product, so they just went "anime original endings ALWAYS work!"

I've yet to watch ROOTS. It's on my backlog, though. (Near the bottom.) If it's exceptionally shitty, I can just drop it after a few episodes.

Another "interesting" anime memory I have with my dad is when he got me Gravitation (neither of us knew what it was, it just looked like a "rise to stardom" anime) and then insisted on sitting down to watch it with me.
