Have you ever met a Japanese?Boy or girl, young or old, anyone goes. What do they think of gaijins? For in animu, when a gaijin talks to a Japanese, he or she seems to be bound to get panicked.
ye ure shit
I've seen a couple of tourists here an there.
>>67666637I might have. There are a ton of Asians coming to my city to study although I don't know why. Never understood a word they said though, so they might not be Japanese at all.
I met a delegate once at uni.All i could say to him was "Nihon-jin desu ka?"I felt so smug back thenThank you anime
I met a family of tourists once. The father was the only one who could speak English, and even then his accent was fairly thick. Seemed like nice people, though.
>>67666731Did he say Sho ga wai na?
I work for the American branch of a Japanese company. They keep 1 Japanese guy there to keep an eye on us and they rotate them out every couple of years.New one just got here last month, first thing he did was buy a super sweet brand new Ford Mustang. They are mostly cool but the rednecks i work with are unintentionally insulting.
>>67666800She actually replied with "Hai! Nihonjin-desu!"Her reply actually sounded like anime, than the common japanese. We then proceeded to talk in engrish. She was kawaii and i told her>>67666829>Rawhide Kobayashi
>Have you ever met a Japanese?Yes, several time infact. The Kinokuniya store around my area is filled with them almost everyday.>Boy or girl, young or old, anyone goes.Meet everyone type of them from a baby to a near death old guy. There's also a loli which keep hitting me whenever I show and read a book for some reason I don't understand.>What do they think of gaijins? They all seem to be nice people and they speak to me in a more broken version of my native language but still understandable.
I've talked to Japanese people in Tokyo. Some are politely distant, some are very curious. On a sub, nobody looks at you but everyone wants to. At a restaurant you're given menus in English and are talked to in English. Everyone thinks you're American if you're white and look normal, even if you otherwise speak a language that's clearly not English (to a friend in front of them, etc.).Once in the street I was approached by a lady looking like a JAV-style office girl. She spoke to me in perfect English, way better than my own accent-wise, and asked where I wanted to go (I was a bit lost), then walked me there. There's extra attention to the foreigners, everyone's more polite towards you, but I wonder everyone really does like you all that much. There are many who don't care, some who are curious and some who seriously fucking hate your guts. Every country has anti-immigration protesters - well, Japan has anti-tourist protesters, I fucking kid you not, I've witnessed a protest on Akiba myself.
I lived in Japan. But no, I've never met a nihonjin. The actual country is just full of weeaboos who went there thinking it was sugoi.
>>67667156Anime or no anime, Japan is sugoi as fuck. You can't argue that. The country is comfy and fun, and good for arts and businesses.
>>67666894Cool. Then why do you think in animu like Azumanga they get panicked when talked to?
>>67666877>She was kawaii and i told her"anata wa kawaisou desu ne"
I am.No, i'm not weaboo.
While I was at college, I reluctantly joined a fraternity because of pressure from my father, he wanted me to be a delta chi. So, I was chilling at the house laying down watching some anime... I believe it was Darker than Black, not sure... and this dude(a brother) actually from Japan, his name was Yoshihiro, walked in, looked at the television, and started to flip his shit, calling me a loser and shit... so yeah...
>>67667237"Kawaisou"Okay, i laughed
>>67667184hahahaha nojapan is a shithole
>>67666637>Have you ever met a Japanese?Yes.>Boy or girl, young or old, anyone goes.Varying ages, but generally men.>What do they think of gaijins?Somewhat depends on your nationality. Europeans are generally seen favourably.>For in animu, when a gaijin talks to a Japanese, he or she seems to be bound to get panicked.I wasn't. Then again, I was in Japan and had to expect it.
>>67667276>japan is a shitholeThis is simply not true.
Nigga my best friend is Japanese.I went to Japan with him for a family visit. It was alright.
>>67667288yes it is, the reason because anime is all happy and shit is because they all live sad lifesit's like germany, but not has rich
>>67666637What chapter is that?
>>67667184True. Shit is so fucking sugoi. Even just the used book stores alone are more sugoi than most of sugoi things I've seen in other, less sugoi countries
one of my best friends is half-japanese
>>67667314Maximum Trolling mode engaged I see.Would you mind limiting your shitposting to >>>/jp/? Thank you.
>>67667288Ahahaha have you ever been there? The countryside is the only redeeming feature of the damn country. MOST, if not ALL of their cities are more depressing than New York. Process that.
>>67667314>yes it is, the reason because anime is all happy and shit is because they all live sad lifesI hate most anime and I loved Japan. And people live sad lives everywhere. Nobody is happy by default. The country is clean and well-maintained, and entertainment is paramount, which is as good as it ever gets; everything else is up to you.
>>67667322I love how there's a vending machine around every corner, fuck, I remember seeing like 3 different kinds lined up together, walked like 5 meters, and saw another pair. When I'm a bit thirsty, I'd just buy myself a warm bottle of milk tea or some hot canned soup, that shit's awesome.
>>67667225A lot of people panicked when they talk to strangers so that's probably it.
>>67667352New York isn't particularly depressing. Neither were Osaka, Kyoto, or Kobe when I lived around them.
>>67666637>Have you ever met a Japanese?Yes, we have them by the tuckload here>Boy or girl, young or old, anyone goes.Boy, girls, young and old(youngest was 1 and the oldest was 85)>What do they think of gaijins? Most really dont care>For in animu, when a gaijin talks to a Japanese, he or she seems to be bound to get panicked. My jap teacher is an 56 years old japanese lady, she seams all right with anime, considering my classmate is an annoying weeaboo faggot that made her watch binkumanShe dropped around the second season
>>67667256This is why I do everything possible to hide my power level.
>>67666894>There's also a loli which keep hitting meExplain further
>>67667374The best part is when you find a really good vending machine that has something none of the others do, or even better, one of the fabled 50-yen machines. You don't tell ANYBODY about that shit if you find one. Those are secrets you reserve for only your closest of friends.
>>67667352>MOST, if not ALL of their cities are more depressing than New York. Process that.Countryside is gorgeous, cities are tide and neat. What's not to like? Are clean streets and polite people depressing you? You must have issues - that, or you're 17.
>>67667322
>>67667409>Neither were Osaka, Kyoto, or KobeOkay I'll give you Osaka and Kobe (especially Kobe. Clean as fuck, even by Japanese standards). Kyoto though, there's something about that city that rubs me the wrong way.
>>67667339Their government's pretty damned corrupt. Every election is bought and paid for, and the crime rate being low is purposefully rigged (take a look at how many people go missing without explanation). That's part of the reason why every Japanese person I've met who immigrated was always incredibly happy.
>>67667225imagine if some one from anoyher country just popped in your town and asked in his native language for directionsyou would be some what unconfortable untill you find a middle ground, but in that case, she could not use it, since the midle ground was english, and she is horrible at it
Yes, I've met myself.
>>67667256>I reluctantly joined a fraternity because of pressure from my fatherThis was your first mistake. I think you know what the other one was.
>>67667419>an 56
I've had Japanese classmates in collegeNothing special about them
>>67666637My japanese languange teacher is a japanese. She travel around my country and makes a lot of gaijin friend. Dont really think she hate us or anything beside she is trying to learn more about our culture as well as our mother tongue too. On the other hand i think she is very skeptical about anime. I dont know why but there was this one time a girl in my class wear a shirt with the picture of elizabeth and the teacher were like, was asking about it(i notice a change of face expression, just imagine those niggas got trolled to watch boku no pico at omeagle....yeah those fucking priceless disgusted face as she goes on sking what series it is from)Then the girl spurted out "kintama" very loud, shit was embarrassing. Well only the teacher, me and a buddy of mine grasp what is really happening while the other are blur as fuck.I bet all ya niggas know what's that suppose to mean coz in translation that shit mean golden balls.
