  • Attention 4chan extension/user script/archive developers: Some time in the next few days, we'll be rolling out a complete HTML rewrite of the imageboards.
The design will remain the same, but the underlying HTML/CSS is completely new, and validates HTML5/CSS3 (with some tweaks to account for cross-browser compatibility).

Please visit this thread to read more about the changes, and here to preview the code.

As a regular user, these changes should not affect you. You will need to update your 4chan browser extensions/user scripts when their maintainer updates them to be compatible with the changes.
The official 4chan Chrome extension will be ready to go when the updates happen, and 4chan X should be ready soon. We'll post more details on the day of the migration!

I couldn't buy anime food even if I wanted to.

However, I have made both melonpan and anpan. And I now top my pancakes with that bean paste instead of syrup.
The anpan ended up tasting pretty awful, (couldn't get the bread to rise enough, and it was too doughy in the middle) but I'd make the melonpan again.

It's easy to make. It's basically just cookie dough with melon flavor wrapped around bread dough.

I've made it a few times, but without melon flavor. They don't sell any extract/syrup in local stores where I live, and I never bothered to search online for it.

    Takoyaki - CCS
    Cream cornet - Lucky Star

If your mapo tofu isn't spicy then try and find a Sichuan style Chinese restaurant. They're the spicy Chinese cuisine specialists. Just about everything they make is spicy. You'll probably need a local Chinese population though.

The key ingredient is Sichuan peppercorns which have a numbing effect. If your lips aren't numb then they're doing it wrong.

When I was watching Yakitate Japan back in 2007 or whatever I realized there was a bakery on the way home from work, and I started picking up fresh bread for dinner afterwards. Shit was great, but I moved and now I miss it.

Fate/stay night actually made me re-evaluate my stance on cooking. I usually just heated up something frozen/canned or made simple shit like sphagetti but afterwards I actually started cooking from scratch and such. I'm no Shirou but I can cook respectably now.

I also really want to try mapo tofu.

Animu influenced me to try other Japanese foods. I found the taste of spam delicious from a young age, so I tend to sometimes use it as a replacement in Japanese plates. Bad habit, I guess. Also now I eat eggs with soy sauce and I can't get enough of corn potage.

I did have a bit of a scare over that a few months back, but I think they only removed licensed manga that was being uploaded for stupid reasons. Note when I say stupid reasons, I mean the reason they were uploaded since chapter 311 of naruto shitpudding doesn't need to be on ex.

Also, I would have a bigger appetite for asian food I see in my chinese cartoons, but my mother's Taiwanese so I've had enough as is, and I know the taste of it already. One thing I have tried making is pic related once, because oh lord that french food.

Not getting tired of it, but I don't have that surge of curiosity as to how it tastes compared to things like the pic I posted. It's the first salad dish that I could actually pay for and eat with a smile on my face, it really is great. On the other hand, meat buns and other things still taste exquisite and delicious: I've simply tried them before, so the curiosity's not there. I would like to try a parfait sometime, though.
