the original series, the human race left Earth because the alien race
(Scub Coral) arrived on the planet and started to take over. The
original series takes place 10,000 years after this happens. When the
human race managed to find a new planet, it turns out to be the original
Earth that had been merged with the Scub Coral. When Eureka and Renton
manage to penetrate through the outer later and fall onto the planet
below, they land not only on the original Earth, but on Japan to boot.
When
they land, Renton even had a reference book (or something like that, I
forget, it's been a few years) that detailed the original planet. So
it's not too far-fetched to think that the human race had documented
details as to how the original Earth was divided and decided to stick
with it.
As for why it's back to the original Earth now, when
Renton and the newly transformed Nirvash save Eureka from becoming the
new core of the Scub Coral, Nirvash sends a beam and basically tattoos
the moon with something like "Renton loves Eureka" and then proceeds to
take most of the aliens and a portion of the human population with it
off of the planet. Hence why there are no more organic LFO's or etc,
etc. When the Scub Coral covered the planet, the atmosphere was
permeated by an enigmatic energy known as Transparence Light Particles,
dubbed Trapar waves for short which allowed for lifting and flight and
blah blah, and it was all organic. With the Scub Coral not fused with
the planet anymore, obviously they'd have to go back to mechanical
devices. |
