I'm torn between whether it's amusing or annoying to see Okabe run around trying to save Mayuri's life. I believe that God enjoys seeing people in despair as they act rashly which leads to conflict, but there's also an element of letting him decide where people's lives go. If the world was to be destroyed, I wouldn't step in his way, as it's all part of the grand design.

But then again, maybe Okabe was given Reading Steiner and this shocking situation so that he could have an adventure. That would be very entertaining as well, and maybe God is just playing a game with him.

Admit it, Steins;Gate isn't very good. It was hyped to no end before it aired, but the result is ultimately disappointing:
- Moeblob that only exists to be "saved" by the main character; she even has her cliched as hell "cute catchphrase". She even gets "cruelly" killed a few times trying to make the viewer feel for this moeblob.
- Degrading Dr. Pepper advertisements/product placement everywhere (Why don't you watch TV commericals nonstop instead? At least these have higher production values.)
- The timetravel stuff is a nonsense plot device. They don't even pretend that this show is science fiction. It's just bullshit. They even have to introduce this "divergence meter" to provide a concrete way for the viewer to understand whether what happens is good or bad. This is needed because the timetravel and parts of the plot make no sense, and the viewer isn't really able to follow cause and effect in the series' world.
- Lol-hacking. Nope, it doesn't make sense. Bullshit as in the previous point.
- Idiotic otaku references. These feel completely out of place and was only done to appeal to otaku. This even goes as far that they try to integrate this into the plot. Like at one point, he has to convince a trap to go back being a trap. OMG LOL HE IS REALLY A TRAP! *fapfapfap* Yep, stupid otaku nonsense. Why is this in a series that's supposed to be serious.
- There are not really any high production values. Most scenes are just static talking heads with boring background (i.e. indoors in dark rooms). The character designs are bland and boring. What's with all that banding? (It's even in the BDs.)

First dmail happened because Daru was fucking with the microwave-o-phone while his own phone was connected to it. Okabe sent a text to Daru's phone at just the right moment and it triggered a dmail.

There are multiple SERN-dominated world lines and Kurisu being alive wasn't instrumental to SERN's domination at all. Nakabachi successfully stealing her research was the cause. In the first world line we're shown, Kurisu dies as Nakabachi runs off with her papers. The metal Upa Kurisu placed in the envelope set off the metal detectors at the airport, which saved the papers from burning up in the plane. The Suzuha that comes back from the future and lands safely on Radio Kaikan's roof makes no mention of Kurisu being alive in the future.

It's sort of tangled up, but it's not a mess and it's explained pretty thoroughly even in the anime. Pay attention next time you watch a show before you go saying its plot was shit.
