So, courtesy of TE Memorial Night (Powered by Muv-Luv), we have a newer version of the Total Eclipse anime trailer that was released with Chronicles 03, complete with some extra footage.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W15eINDUuaA
Dat Su-37 twirling with glowing chainsaws.
We also got some character design stuff.
>>63903752Fucking soviet ninjas
Generic and derivative mecha series is both generic and derivative.
Aw look, they hate each other.
>>63903752Why would the Soviets use built-in chainsaws? If they were to jam or break, they'd be somewhat tougher to quickly drop and replace than, say, knives.
>>63903987Because they are crazy and Russian
>>63903876
Dat weapon pylon shifting action. And why were the Terminator's chainsaws already red-hot before cutting the assault gun?
>>63903987Because they originated from the Soviet need to cut trees on the moon and get space lumber.
>>63903987SOCIALIST STRONG chainsaws don't jam or break, imperialist pigdog.
>>63904194Is that you, Fast Wheels El Melon-sama?
Alternative Universe Vladimir Putin knows all about the bitches
>>63904079They were burning red with the Communist Pride of the millions of dead Russkies.
Tank?
>>63903928>>63903823Looking a little Luluko there, Yui.
And here we have brown girl.
>>63903752I just came.
>>63904409YES
Okay, the CG actually looks decently good in motion.
It's time to thrust vector the skies.
>>63904579How the fuck can she move like that without XM3?
>>63904655Because Scarlet Twins Alternative III ESP hax or something.
>>63904655Russian newtype wizardry
>>63904079>>63903725Why does Alaska look like downtown Tokyo?
>>63904756Isn't that the simulator city?
>>63904860Oh yeah, they have those, don't they.
He probably called her a filthy jap = monkey or insulted YAMATO DAMASHII or something.
Somehow, everytime I see mechas being used to fight an enemy I can't help but think that it's a huge waste of resources.Sure, they are cool, but there's always a smarter, less costly way to fight an invader of some sort, I'm sure of it.
>>63905069Probably true. But they're used in fiction because they just look cool, that's all.
>>63903928I bet they'll end up fucking like rabbits.
>>63905069ohboyherewego
>>63905069They should use tanks, right?
Fuck this shit I'm out
>>63903928>turning head 90 degrees and looking to the side to talk to someone behind youWhy do they do this? Nobody in real life does that.
>>63905203I do. All the time.
>>63905145I don't know man, probably no, since it's a mecha series, tanks are useless by default.
>>63905406Tanks are still very useful for long-range bombardment. Without the tank support in combined arms assaults, the mecha would have a much poorer survival rate.
>>63903725So whose brilliant idea was it to stick a couple of planes onto a giant humanoid machine?
>>63905633The plane companies. Since they now have to manufacture giant mecha instead of planes, they have to really respecialize, so by incorporating planes into mecha design they can save on cost of replacing machinery, or something.
>>63905449That's cool and all, but I still think that all the time spent in R&D for those mechs could have been used to fund some wave-motion tech to fight, or even flee to another place and etc.Sorry if I'm talking non-sense, I'm not that literate on MuvLuv series, but by the looks of it, those BETAs looks kinda like Zergs, which means that if you kill 10 or 100 it wouldn't make much of a difference, just postpone the inevitable, right?
>>63905790Speculation, of course.
>>63905855Oh, it's you again.
>>63905855They did fund a giant particle beam cannon on a floating fortress, but it was shelved because someone else came up with the much more efficient space-time tearing G-bombs. They also funded a migrant space fleet that can evacuate a hundred thousand or so humans to a planet a few lightyears away. And the BETA numbers thing is pretty much right, except that they BETA need to connect to their Reactors at the bottom of the Hive underground complexes to restore energy, so if a Reactor can be destroyed that effectively ends the BETA infestation within the Hive catchment area.
>>63905855Some spoilers follow:>wave-motion tech to fightThey were trying to do that and have come up with two prototypes by 2001, but yourequiremorevespenegas.jpg>even flee to another place and etc.Tacked on to Alternative V. They're building colony ships at the Langrange points, limited capacity though, and no FTL to boot.
Can't wait for all these mecha to appear.
Thank you based Soviet superscience
>>63906327Stop sexualizing Inia
>>63906327
It seems like they're trying to convert the animated parts of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m35bTVBe0yI into an anime as far as style goesI'd like it more if they made it look like the stills but I guess it can't be helped
>>63906190Why is the Black Widow at Project Prominence? Isn't the ATF competition well over?
>>63906378It's her own fault for being so sexual
>>63904579Alright, TSF CG animation is nice and all, but I'm still reserving judgment until we see what the BETA look like.
>>63903725What anime is that? It looks like Armored Core.
>>63906653We should see some the first episode.
>>63906676Don't watch it, it's full of beta.
>>63906676It's an unholy union of Armored Core, Ace Combat, Macross Plus and Starship Troopers.
>>63906787>Ace CombatWell, Top Gun, anyway.
Brace for TITS
How do you people find the /m/ threads when you apparently can't use the catalog or archive? It's seriously perplexing me.
>>63906869What do you mean? The /m/ catalog works just fine.
Hey look, official English version of official site.http://muv-luv-te-anime.com/story_en.html
>>63906976I guess this pretty much confirms a simulcast.
I wonder if they'll have an actually competent simulcast this time, considering how much effort they're putting into trying to get the gaijin in.I'd pay monies for MuvLuv.
>>63906869>implying we can't use the catalogDuring accel's reign this was the only way to use /a/
>>63906976My God, all that Engrish.
>>63906976It's not like the Nips to acknowledge a foreign market this early, for a franchise that's never been officially outside of Japan before.
>>63906921I mean there has been at least "New PV" OPs on /a/ at any given time since the thing came out, which is about half a dozen of the damn things already because they die from people posting in another one.>>63907038It's just getting simulcast because Nicovideo.com is a thing that exists, like Symphogear or Milky Holmes.
>>63907115>Nicovideo.com is a thing that existsIt's also terrible
The only thing I don't dig is all the romance stuff.
>>63907160Well the new Fate/zero episode is being streamed in 720p for free, so there's that.
>>63907095It looks fine to me.
>>63907221I want to lick his abs.
>>63907221Looks like they'll be going with surface pilot, not eishi, then. Someone should go tell Ixwreck to update his translation with the official Integral Works terms.
>>63907221>A surface pilot of the Imperial Royal Guard of Japan which sworn to defend Shogun family>which sworn to defend Shogun familyDoesn't look fine from over here.
>>63907161It can't be helped, at least in TE the love interests are a psycho russian killing machine and the personification of YAMATO DAMAShi
>>63907160I can't hear you back in Fall 2011.>>63907321Eishi is contextually relevant in UL/AL as it is. It's out of place in TE for the most part, but the implication is pretty important in Japan. I'd say it's a reasonably big deal in Adoration as well.>>63907386>that fucking colouring error againFor fuck's sake.
>>63907413Who all three try to kill each other, yeah.
>>63907095English can eat shit.
