I said, when you keep it clean, it's not a problem. If you're firing at
paper targets in a clean environment all the time, then jamming
shouldn't be a problem. Then again, I remember one time I went
to a range with an AR15 nut who claimed that it never jammed, and sure
enough, the fucking thing started jamming about 30 rounds in. The magazine being crap is a manufacturing issue...the vulnerability to grit and carbon buildup is a design flaw. Mind
that I'm not arguing that the AK is great, because even the
Russian-built ones have marginal accuracy, and the cheap clones are much
worse. They just work better in shitty conditions than the AR platform,
and guys supplementing their M-4/M-16 in Iraq and Afghanistan with an
AK wasn't that uncommon. Christ, if the AR platform were all
that, the troops wouldn't bitch so much that Congress would force the
Army to conduct tests to find out that, surprise, the M-4 is shit:

at the sound of an AK is pretty stupid, since friendly forces tend to
use them as much as enemy forces do. It was a big problem in Vietnam,
and is what led to the brass banning usage of the AK. But friendly fire
incidents still happen way too often, AK or not. One of the fun
uses of an AK is to kill some civvie then put the AK at his feet and say
that he was firing on you or planting an IED.>>63906042 was too busy watching the anime. Fun show.
