Loved it, especially episode 14. Characters were awesome and so was the setting/ atmosphere.
Plot was pretty good except the bullshit end where they didn't really know what they were doing with it. Hoping it will be like FMA where they go back and make it again like the manga

It was a nice series with great art direction and music, but it quickly began to stumble around after the first arc. Too many filler and unnecessary episodes that don't add anything to the plot.

To make matters worse, the anime version throws together a hasty ending that managed to piss everyone off.

That being said, it was a decent series, but wasn't handled properly.

Soul Eater is currently my favourite anime. I find it to be a unique anime in various ways. The fight scenes are well done too.

Oh, and that courage punch. It's fine. No reason to hate it. It's more of the psychological affect rather than the physical punch itself. But /a/ can't think into anything that isn't obvious to them, sadly.

I'm continuing on the manga now. Seems to be quite a different pace than the anime but it's great.

Also; Crona's female.

But /a/ either hates it because of the fan base (poor excuse) and/or pulls at straws implying that any anime has no flaws.

I enjoyed the animes art and how it looked most of the time. However they bent the story over the rape table and crapped on the ending hard.

If you keep up with the manga I think it's actually pretty good. I would highly recommend just reading this instead of the anime as courage punches are absent.

Despise? It's my favorite shonen second to DBZ (maximum nostalgia) and one of the few shonen series I can stand watching.
Also one of the few series with a good English dub. I probably should pick up the manga eventually since I hear it differs from the anime quite a bit.

I liked it, bought the whole serious too, everyone hated courage punch? When I saw it I was like "FUCK YEAH FALCON PUNCH!!!", kinda derpy that the Brew thing just turns the city into a mech, thought it would be some weather controlling device, idk.

I was pretty sad that the halloween motif was dropped really quickly and the whole soul collecting thing as well, medusa didn't even have her soul appear after her death, what's up with that?

I remember my friend was talking to me online while watching the fight between stein and her

Good might be going a little far, but I'd definitely say it wasn't as bad as a lot of people say. It's a little bit of a cop-out, but when they ran out of manga to adapt, they had to improvise. There are worse ways it could have gone down.

I will NEVER admit the fact that Maka is the daughter of a weapon could be a fascinating plot point... but chew on it a while...
