I'd say /b/, in some of the paedophile threads you see ancientfags from the darkest days of early 4chan. Although /jp/ and /tg/ have quite a few, probably a higher % of users than any other board. This does all depend on what you class as an Oldfag. I've been here since '05 and class myself as an agingfag.

/jp/ is where the true oldfags and the highest of powerlevels reside. Most people on /jp/ have seen more anime series than 10+ average f/a/ggots combined. In addition a lot of people on /jp/ can watch anime without waiting for subs like you fucking faggot babbys. Generally, /a/ looks to each other for approval of things, while /jp/ looks inward at itself instead of relies on a hivemind mentality. Also /a/ has no OC besides shitty image macro memes that get old within a week; /jp/ translates VNs, games and has doujin translation teams that regularly post there. People at /jp/ know your own boards’ subject far, far better than you do, fucking dream on if you think you have any kind of superiority in any way whatsoever.

We sneer at you fucking newfags/normalfags, your shonenshit Big 3 threads, quasi-/v/ mentality and everything else that makes /a/ suck fucking balls. /jp/ is a better board than /a/ could ever dream to be because most of you f/a/ggots are, in our eyes, eternal newfags, aka there is nothing you could ever say or do to bring yourself up to our level, because you aren’t true oldfags. You’re G/a/ia, you’re ANN and MAL trash now. Stay away, we don’t want you in /jp/, not now, not ever. Go on and continue existing in your own world of shit thinking that it’s any good, while the master race quietly resides separated from you mongoloids.

I think the main problem with /b/ is that if you want a pacific thing you go to the other boards for it

most of the good threads I've seen on /b/ in the past was appropriate on other boards

we talked about how Osaka is the queen of /b/ and Yotsuba is the mascot (/a/), we talked about nostalgia (/co/ and /toy/), we talked about politics (/pol/ and /int/), we talked about camwhores (/soc/), we talked about random memes (reddit, Fark, ihazacheezeburger, etc.)

after all that the only thing that is left that aren't in other boards is porn, western drawn porn, furry porn, drugs, and just boring shit

where they completely changed from "assholes of the internet" to "internet vigilantes"

soon /b/ was flooded with newfags, trolls, normalfags, underage b& (we were underaged too, but not as plentiful) and wannabe anarchist. The oldfags ran away to the other boards and Moot made it worst by making new boards that the other oldfags flocked too (/int/, /soc/, /sci/, /lit/, /x/, /r9k/, /adv/, and a fucking Pokemon board), so the providers of the OC was gone and the normalfags left /b/ and went to Facebook

4chan truly died when the spirit of the internet died.

Blame social networking. We don't get any decent memes because the internet hasn't had any decent memes. The last slightly original meme was what...Nyan Cat? Basically the same type of thing as Caramelldansen and all the stuff before it.

When casuals finally get bored of staring at Facebook and go back to their lives the internet will fall back into the hands of the people most suited to being there.

Look at forums, they've practically died thanks to social media. It's like looking at a barren wasteland of internet.

3DPD is propagated these days because people like to abuse memes by making them the avatars of rule enforcement.

when you see '3DPD', it really means 'i dont like this, so i dont want it here'

its not that /a/ now takes things too seriously, its that many fight to control the content on the board as if they own it.

it was always thought that this behavior was fine. thats what self moderation is all about. but it expresses itself in so many ways we dont like.

It's not like /a/ is any better. Just, instead of making shit threads we just shit up good ones.

/b/ and /v/ weren't ruined by fun, they were ruined by the acceptance blog shit and legion garbage. Unsurprisingly, /a/'s version of blog shit (through the vessel of waifus) is ruining /a/ just as fast.

depends on your definition of oldfag
i found /b/ when i was 11 in summer of '05 and bragged about being underage b& until i turned 18
    never got banned
    seen boards come and go
seen the glorious times of cat pics turn into an ocean of faggotry
    got buttranged
    got over it
but i missed a lot being a retarded teenager bouncing from /b/ to pokemon generals to /a/ here and there
most people wouldn't understand it, but I think /b/ harbors the most oldfags simply because of the lurkers
if you straight up ask enough people, you learn that a lot of people visit /b/ and just lurk for a while sometimes for nostalgia

Not to forget how facebook's attempts to adopt internet memes as part of normal culture (even though these 'memes' are just image macros, not that normalfags know the difference), which probably brought a shitload of them over to experience the place were memes tend to be created.
    >> Anonymous 04/03/12(Tue)20:21 No.63718225
I think per capita /jp/ has a fair bit of oldfags, at least out of the boards I lurk that one stands out

I think the spirit is still alive on 4chan, but it has suffered from the influx of newfags. It takes a certain type of people to create original content. These need to come together in a thread and contribute. If a community has too many outsiders of a different breed, often normalfags, then the chance for two people who could create something worthwhile gets smaller. The community gets diluted and less original content gets created. On the other hand, the uncreative people clod up the board with their uncreative threads, reposts of porn/pizza/feel/etc. - this happened to /b/, this happened to /v/.

    >>63718162
I don't think so. When 4chan was still young, it was mostly educated and very nerdy people browsing the boards. This changed over time. Nowadays you have all kinds of people.

Which is what 3DPD is about.

It only comes up because some faggot feels the need to bring up real women and their interactions with them on a board about anime and manga. Or an attention whore decides being a woman makes her points more valid.

There's an "anime club" thread right now by the way.

I'm not too opposed to the 3DPD behaviour though - at least it keeps porn threads out of /a/, which is breeding ground for cancer. I didn't like the misogyny threads too much, since they felt too spiteful and angry to me, rather than the comforting ronery-threads which came before. But I haven't seen many of either in the recent time, and I don't really mind too much.
