Been playing it and finished one route. It's excellent. They changed the music, it's fully voice acted by the same seiyuu. Madoka's route is almost a rewatch of the anime but they added new scenes and character thoughts so it feels more like watching the anime more indepth.

Yeah, guess it depends if you're the kind of person who doesn't mind watching anime without subs. And you'll have to figure out how to use the controllers and fight in the dungeons without knowing Japanese. I think that might be hard. You really need to be able to swap to different abilities, heal yourself, use your soulgem, etc.

There's one fight he left out with Mami vs. Charlotte. What you do is when you go in there, immediately take out close-by familiars using your ribbon melee skill and get within tiro finale range of Charlotte. Then Tiro Finale Charlotte right away, before you get attacked by more summoned familiars. Don't let the fight drag out.

Kyubey on the left is the Kyubey button. On the dialogue screens, L and R are your left and right buttons where you can swap through three different options Kyubey can use to increase the emotional or karma values. Read the wiki for explanations on what that all means (http://wiki.puella-magi.net/Puella_Magi_Madoka_Magica_Portable). Square is activating the Kyubey button. Most of the time in the game, you can't really use the Kyubey button. Every now and again, it will be automatically activated. When that happens, you click square and pick an option. Since you don't know the language, just pick whatever.

During fights, use L for items and R to select skills.

I haven't seen a new ISO of it. I think they managed to get it work using workarounds. Convert to cso to avoid tutorial crashes and some sleep mode trick. I own the game so I haven't bothered with it.

You have to play the Madoka Kaname route first. It's the one you see in the vids. That unlocks other routes. You play through the others, then Homura's route which has the most number of different options you can choose. Once you clear that, there's a bonus route.

Madoka first, then you unlock Mami's.
Then the way to unlock further route isn't very clear yet but you can unlock Sayaka and Kyouko's routes by doing both endings in Mami's route it seems.
Then Homura's route that introduce the Homu button to replace Kyuubey button.
After finishing it you unlock the Extra route that continue with Homura's pov and is basically about her being a harem lead
