I agree that he's a gigantic manchild but I don't think that makes his role in the game retarded. As a villain, I found him refreshing in interesting. Instead of some supernatural god or monster or someshit with plans for world domination, he's just a really jaded guy who hates his life, but doesn't know how to change it. Some of the stuff he says rings true to me at least, even if it doesn't excuse his actions.

I actually disliked the Izanami stuff. That felt more tacked on to me than anything else.

Tired and mentally jaded people is the crutch that 4chan stands on. Adachi is more relatable in that sense than mostly any other antagonist I know of.

Life in general kept keeping him down, so he just decided to say fuck it and enjoyed what he has acquired just to have fun with his boring life rather than anything else.
