Well, that's the other half of why we have these threads: so /a/non can get pictures of his waifu. As far as I can tell, these things started because a drawfag was thinking of what to practice drawing, and hit upon the marvelous idea of asking /a/nons to post their waifus. A huge supply of material to practice on and a service to the community wrapped into one.
