  • Server issues today were 100% related to an operating system upgrade (Mac OS X 10.7 Lion) gone wrong, and has absolutely nothing to do with CloudFlare. The CloudFlare pages you see are cached versions that only show when the backend servers (our servers, a Mac Mini cluster) go down. Every single CloudFlare error in the past month has been on our end—not theirs.

I think it's finally time we ditch Darwin for Windows Server 2008.

    /a/ you are fuicking liars

You ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS tell me that VN's are better than their adaptions.
You told me that in the Steins;Gate adaption were SO MANY THINGS left out while actually, nothing is left out at all you god damn retards.

Nobody said Steins;Gate's adaptation was bad. The only time's I've ever seen comparisons people say it is a good adaptation.

It did leave some minor things out though. Notably, the whole deal with Mr Braun and Moeka, the entire deal with his daughter was left out but it mostly got everything. Mostly I think the VN is slightly better, due to having a little bit more detail and handling the ending a little bit better. (It just felt like it had more emotion in the VN somehow, even though it was more or less the same scene.)

They cut out many things, not plot itself but dialogues, character's reason's e.t.c
Without this S;G is just poor and faster walcthrough, everything that makes S;G sweet/good is gone, it's pointless to explain because there's too many things, make story in VN a far different then in adaptation.

I think the VN was much superior because:

1.The SCIENCE is better explained. In the anime, Kurisu's awesome lecture(ep2) was entirely skipped, in the VN they showed quite a bit of it. I loved it. And every time the SCIENCE is explained, the VN always explains it better and in a believable way.

    2. The art. Opinions. I like brown haired Kurisu better than Red-haired Kurisu.

    3. More Slice of Life, in the sense that you get more interactions between the characters. Daru and Okabe's antics, more MISUTA BRAUN, getting to see all the mail spam from Moeka, Mayuri, Rukako, Faris and Suzuha's pointless yet amusing mails about absolutely nothing.

    4. The Phone system.

    5. More detail on the story, and not butchering the main story. In the VN, Braun killed himself so that not only Nae but Moeka would be spared, he never shot her. Then Nae comes and stabs Moeka. Basically, Braun's soft side was left missing.

    6. @channel. You can see people arguing on the internet through your phone, that should be familiar to everyone here.

    7. Routes.

This is what I can be bothered to think of right now. More stuff will probably come to my mind, but only when it's too late.
