It's a fun watch, nothing deep or psychological, it certainly isn't going to make you question life or the reason we are here but the characters are enjoyable, there's some really cool historical references throughout, and it's just entertaining. I never enjoyed it for the fanservice, that's just a bonus.

Nevertheless, I've tried on multiple occasions to watch Strike Witches, but I just can't, even though some of the characters and seiyuu appeal to me. It's honestly quite sad.
