there was a thread where anons were posting their anime folders. One
anime had a directory where the folders were the icons for particular
anime. This was really neat, but he said he manually set them for each
folder. I'm lazy and I know you are too, so I made a script which will
set the folder icons for you.
The script works by trying to find
an exact match between the folder name and an icon file in the icon
directory, this will match about 50% of your anime, from my experience.
If
an exact match does not occur you can optionally let it attempt to find
a match. This works by breaking up the folder name and trying to find a
match on the words in the folder name (up to first 10). For example,
'Shinryaku Ika Musume' will search for icons with 'shinryaku', 'ika' or
'musume' anywhere in their name. This search technique works but you
will get lots of results for things with short and/or common words in
their name such as 'Level E' or 'Boku Wa Tomodachi Ga Sukunai' ('E' and
'wa'). It will remember your last answer, so if you are going through a
lot of matches after you type 'n' once you can just hit the enter key to
advance until you find the match, and then type in 'y'.
tl;dr Run the batch script, give it the path to your anime folder and the icon folder, and enjoy the results
