we really call this a second season if it can be easily viewed without
watching the first series first or just ignoring it? If so I feel they
shouldn't be compared with each other because it seems as though Gonzo
is just trying to cater to the audience of today, let's not forget the
first series aired at 2003. There is also a side story that occured
between the years from the first series when Claus and Lavie boarded the
Exile to Earth, 6 months after boarding the Exile is when the manga
Last Exile: Travelers of The Hourglass begins. But who knows, we've only
seen 8 episodes of Fam, TSW so far out of 21 so its still to early too
judge, especially since the plot in Fam, TSW has been picking up a lot
since episode 07. I don't think the two series should be compared. In
the first series we needed to know the concepts and structure of the
universe of Last Exile as and introduction to the series, we needed to
know that it takes a lot of dedication to become a navi as shown in the
childhoods of Claus and Lavie, if there is one thing that connects the
two series enough to call it a second season, it's that they're in the
same universe, in the same planet, Earth, set two years later but with
no explanation of the universe of Last Exile and how the MCs have come
to get where they are today, it could be interpretted that they did work
their ass of to get where they are today as experienced Pilots since we
still are in the same universe as the first series, do Gonzo really
need to repeat themselves if you've already seen the first series?
