Make 300k/yr working 60-70 hours per week and no time to watch anime or read manga.

    OR

Make 50k/year working 40 hours per week with lots of free time for anime.

I ask b/c I'm thinking of quitting my career path

    >> Anonymous 10/12/11(Wed)06:15 No.55810684
    the former

60-70 hours a week is nothing if you get paid 300k

    >> Anonymous 10/12/11(Wed)06:17 No.55810708
Why don't you keep at 300k/yr until you have a substantial amount of savings whereby you never have to work if you didn't want to.

    Money is still useful.

    50k usd = 2 million Php

My dad earns 120 000 php (2764 usd) a month

    50k works for me
    >> Anonymous 10/12/11(Wed)06:20 No.55810781
I would go for the first option right now. I'm 8 years away from being a wizard, and I need a lot of resources for when that time finally comes.

Sometimes I think I am the only /a/non with a shitty, low payng job. ($600 per week, 40 hours)
    >> Anonymous 10/12/11(Wed)06:24 No.55810854
Look at it this way, if you're making 300k takehome in a year. If you work this job for 2 years, you'll have 500k more then option two. If you can live comfortably on 50k a year(I fucking hope you would, I have to make due with 21k) Then you can quit working for 10 years.

    >> Anonymous 10/12/11(Wed)06:25 No.55810893
I'd kill for the second option. I get about $22k per year for 40 hours per week. Nonetheless I have managed to amass about $3k worth of figmas etc. in about two years since I started collecting.
    >> Anonymous 10/12/11(Wed)06:26 No.55810904

Stay in your current career for a bit, because you'll make 250k more per year, which for each year you work it is five years of work free leisure. Think about it. Work for four years and be set with twenty years years of doing whatever the fuck you want.

The latter, because getting rich is not worth much as an end in itself and retiring just leads to stagnation. I'd use my free time to actually live my life while I'm young, same as I do now but with the greater freedom money allows. I know how to live on 10k/yr, so 50k/year would be more than enough luxury.

i dont think youre actually required to get something published, but you need to actually show that you are doing shit, otherwise you lose it

I'm in a foreign country right now and have no friends (yet).

I am living with my aunt who already owns a house. In exchange for staying here, I pay for the bills.

I would gladly take the 300k/year no matter how stressful since I plan to move back home in the near future.
