If you're already enlisted? Sure it's the only good option aside from going warrant, and you have to have 6yrs in MOS to do warrant.

If you haven't joined yet, do ROTC, or like I did which was enlist in the reserves, get 2yrs enlisted experience with basic and AIT then do the 2yr ROTC program.

Here where I live, doing at least 180 days of military service is obligatory. I just got out 3 months ago. God it sucked for a skinny ass nerd like me (though I did manage to score 3190m on Cooper's test), but getting back home on weekends to watch anime was so damn enjoyable.

Also there was a guy who watched anime there, I watched GTO and Gintama with him a few times.
