There's nothing wrong with Gainax moving buildings. That was less an animation studio than it was an animation shack.

The only downside is that they're not across the street from Studio Ghibli any more.

I still have hope for GAINAX. IIRC Dantalian was done mostly by a bunch of rookies, and while the story wasn't that great, you can't fault them for that, as the LN is pretty similar. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed the art, and art direction of it, and am looking forward to what this new team might put out in the future.
