10/04/11(Tue)00:05 No.55459491>>55458984 >>55459029 There's some big problems with this theory. There's
two ways to set up big twists in a mystery show. The first way is to
withhold vital information. This is good writing. Yuri being Momoka,
assuming it turns out to be the case, is an example of this. The hints
are there when they should be. Then there's feeding your audience
only false or intentionally misleading information. Anyone can create a
shocking twist this way. There's nothing to it. It's bad writing. This
is what Ikuhara has been doing if Shouma and Ringo are siblings. When
we see Ringo's mother in episode 12, she's only holding one baby. Okay,
maybe she gave Shouma away. But then, Tabuki says, 'she was so looking
forward to having a little sister.' You'd think he'd say, 'siblings', or
'a brother and sister', or 'twins to play with', or something. Sure,
it's conceivable that he wouldn't, but it's smarmy and manipulative
writing. Lastly, we have Ringo's mother noticing the Takakura name.
Yeah, you could read that as a hint, except moments later she's
encouraging Shouma and Ringo to become a couple. If she thought maybe
that name is related to the terrorists, it's possible that she would
just hear it and brush it off. If she thought, 'isn't it possible he's
her long lost brother?', I strongly doubt she'd be encouraging them to
fuck.
tl;dr Ikuhara is trolling if Shouma and Ringo are brother and sister. And not in the 'hurts so good' way. in the bad way. |
