It's kind of ridiculous how much backlash Nichijou has gotten for not selling well. I mean it isn't even that rare for anime shows to not do well given its niche market...probably 1/3 of every season ends up selling like crap. And really, people act like there's never been a big budget investment that ended up tanking.

I get where the trolls are coming from though, because it's rare for a high profile studio like KyoAni to not be topping the sales charts, so they have to get their licks in while they can. Because we all know in another 2 months, when the K-ON movie premieres, Nichijou will be out of everybody's minds and we'll go back to talking about how much money KyoAni prints.
