The whole Kamina dying shit was made up in the fake to troll the fans since the actually episodes were late coming out.

In Lagann Hen (Second Movie) I have a theory that even though everyone except for Kamina and Kittan lives in the end I still believe that Kid, Irakk, Zoshi, Jorgan, Balinbou, and Makken are all dead by the end. Up until the final battle they all have little to no lines whatsoever and have no significance. During the final battle like Lord Genome their thoughts have become a reality and appear to be alive. Finally during the wedding scene they are all grouped together. This wouldn't be a problem except for the fact that Makken was married to Leita so why wasn't he standing with her? They all still died. THe End.
