I've marathoned the first 20 episodes over the last three days. I'm almost caught up with you guys for the last episode. Also, is it agreed that the show got a lot better after Nano went to school? Seeing as how I was kind of hoping for that the whole time I was watching it seems so much better.

I'll be honest.

I dropped it after 1st episode. I can't force myself to watch something that isn't funny to me.

I don't dislike Nichijou. I got halfway through before I just sort of gave up. There was something about Nano going to school that seemed to be the first thing to actually happen in the series and it took fourteen episodes.

It is just so...repetitive? Every episode is the same..and not in the way most slice of life is. It just feels dead. I like some of the characters and some of the humor..but the show is just too bland. It feels so fake.

I'm sure you guys don't care; you probably loved the show if you are in here. I just felt like expressing my disappointment for the first time. I really looked forward to this show and really wanted to like it.

In retrospect, I really did enjoy the show, bu I can't possibly imagine watching it faster than one episode a week. It's a show that's quite enjoyable in small, semi-frequent doses, but would be an absolute nightmare to marathon.

Thankfully Nichijou is a show thats easy to rewatch. I already watch it a few times a week, or just have it in the background while doing other stuff. I'll still probably end up watching episodes here and there every so often.

I think the problem was that it was an Otaku style show, from a company that normally panders to a single audience, in a timeslot that kind of shit normally plays at, that still had elements from that kind of show, but contained primarily normal fag humor. (Not that there wasn't some nerd jokes in there.)
