People think making games is incredibly quick. It takes entire TEAMS to develop some of the games you see out in the market today. Even stuff that KoG has created, when you realize the programming aspects behind it, must have taken at least a couple of days. When newfags get into making games, they think "hurr durr I'll make this in a day!" but it takes you WEEKS AND WEEKS to actually make a GOOD game.

Months of working on a game + no money to be gained + no fan support to give you praise when you finish + no will power = ZUN from Touhou 1-6 before his entire franchise even got popular.
