67 KB Umineko No Naku Koro Ni Yesterday's Anon 09/05/11(Mon)10:14 No.54306938
Just finished Umineko. Fantastic, but i would like to ask if someone knows the name of the music that is heard when Battler makes his theories against Beatrice. It makes me think of Phoenix Wright every time, with that pointing finger. Also,Umineko no naku koro ni thread, hoping for a season 2. Pic related: BEATORICHEEEEE.

The problem about Umineko isn't lacking love. I can understand Rosa's situation, Kinzo's, Kyrie's and pretty much everyone's. Yasu simply has no good motive. Well, she does, but in the ends, those possible motives weren't her motive, but nonsense.
    >> Anonymous 09/05/11(Mon)10:47 No.54308010
    >>54307951
Well the answer to that is that you lack love. It's the same with Rosa; do you see Rosa as a terrible abusive mother who should be killed, or a struggling mother who wants what is best for her daughter, yet she still can't quite provide it herself?

You can always look at the situation and characters in like two ways, with or without love. Looking at the situations with love and trying to accept and understand the characters is what he wanted people to do.

I think she's a pitiable person, much like everyone in Umineko, but people like her shouldn't be allowed to raise kids. The fact Maria had to resort to delusions to be able to keep up with her mother's issues is proof enough for that.

As for Yasu, I really cannot pity her, at least not for her motive. Had her motive been revenge, I'd understand completely, since more than one person in the Ushiromiya family trampled over her and even then, she ended up killing a lot of people who had done no harm on her.

What I'm saying, and what the VN is saying, is that truth can change based on "love". You obviously lack love for Yasu. You say you understand her, yet you so earnestly attack her in your next breath, saying she's fucking evil. I really can't explain it more than you lacking love for the character and her situation. Are you trying to argue that Yasu's "Love" was all stupid and a farce? Because I can level with you there. He wanted to have the character in love, but if you honestly saw her love as comparable to Hank's love of two inanimate propane tanks, then I guess you really wouldn't accept how Yasu "killed for love".

    >>54308466
Right right. My main problem isn't really with Yasu and her motivations, more the nature of the meta world, the truth of Rokkenjima prime, and what really happened to Batora. I like all the characters, I just don't like how he kinda fucked a lot of them over.

It explains a lot about Tohya ending up there.

The meta is up for interpretation, I think. There's enough to believe it to exist or to be a mere allegory. I swing by the latter.

As for Rokkenjima prime, I think, if the forgeries are worth anything, we can have a basic idea about what may have happened there.

what the hell are you talking about. Did you not pay attention to any of episode 7? Even if Yasu had never existed, they still would have killed each other. Their fates were sealed the moment Kinzo acquired the gold. It was only a matter of time before they bit the dust. It isn't that hard to understand Yasu guys, yeah she went crazy but for plenty of reasons, the entire point is that Yasu was a bi-product of the sins of the Ushiromiyas. They all had a hand in making her the way she ended up being. I don't feel any pity for her either, hell the damn characters tell you that you should draw your own conclusions over Yasu. Yasu was essentially their divine retribution personified, quite literally fate killing them off. Which is why Yasu drones on about fate and how much of a joke her entire life had turned out to be. Ultimately, yeah they didn't really deserve to die but it was tragedy. The goats were there to symbolize the outsiders who didn't really understand anything about the people on the island but were glad to turn the whole thing into murder conspiracy, trampling all over the memory of the dead. And for god's sake, Yasu never actually murdered anyone. She pussied out at the last second, ran downstairs and turned off the bomb. But she got killed anyway. Episode 4 and all of the answer arcs literally bash this into the reader's skull, c'mon guys, all the answers are there if you're willing to look for them.

    Jessica was a lying cunt.

Hideyoshi fucked people over in his business during the war.

The only one you have there is Gohda, who really was, like, the most innocent guy on the island.

Jessica only fakes her asthma to placate Natsuhi and also to get everyone to calm the fuck down.

She also lies about Kinzo. In the first episode Batora asks her "How is grandfather doing?" and she replies with "He's as genki as ever! Hit me on the butt with a wooden sword the other day." She lies with her parents to cover up their crime of embezzlement.

She could potentially be the biggest bro or true villain of the series, but we have no goddamn clue because Ryukishi is a hack.

In any event, Yasu didn't suffer abuse from anyone besides Natsuhi.

Stop making it seem like she was divine retribution, she wasn't, she was a selfish person working for her own selfish ends.

Implying Hideoyoshi wasn't a lying scumbag that told George Shannon was dead in episode 1 WHEN THAT WAS FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE. ALL GEORGE HAD TO DO WAS LOOK AT THE BODY HIMSELF. Seriously the guy's an asshole, he just puts on airs of being friendly when the scenario of episode 1 really just painted him to be an accomplice. Gohda...yeah Gohda was innocent. Oh well

Should she be brutally murdered for being a liar? No, but the point was that every family member had sins that were reflected in Yasu.

Episode 4. She. Changed. Her. Fucking. Mind. Nobody solved shit that episode. Episode 7's teaparty was realistic almost to a fault, nobody had any emotions in it and everyone just thought for their own benefits. Of course Bernkastel is gonna paint Yasu as an insane psychotic murder doll with no conscience. Yet everything in all the other games suggested that Yasu did have a conscience and subsequently tried averting the disaster at times. Not counting episodes 1 and 2 since she wrote those herself and blamed the whole thing on the witch.

You know, given how much R07 has spoken about Land. It'd have been nice if they had use an additional setting with those.

From a new interview, I remember him saying Land was the original EP3. I think the PS3 games would have had a better selling value had these alternate routes existed.

Well, the ending would have, quite likely, been the same, though.

Which Umineko witch had the best dental hygiene?

Considering they all drank tea we can expect a good degree of staining, however Beato was an avid smoker so I think we can eliminate her. Bern and Lambda also discussed tea and made tea analogies several times, so I think we can conclude that they probably had more staining than some of the remaining witches. I would propose that it would be either Virgilia or Eva-Beatrice had the whitest and straightest teeth.
