Also, nobody can force you to enlist in the military, and they can't even force you to go to one of those tough love camps if you're over 18. If they did get a military recruiter involved, OP can just tell the guy to fuck himself. But I don't know why he would want to do that, considering how I would love to have been able to spend my life in the Marines, but NOOOOOO. They had to go and check my medical records when they were giving me my security clearance and they found out about how my parents used to force me to see a shrink back when I was like 10 to compensate for the fact that they wouldn't stop my brother from raping me every night. Yeah, bitch I was diagnosed with depression. You'd feel pretty down too if you knew that you were gonna get raped as soon as you got home from school and that nobody would help you. Nope, apparently the fact that I didn't disclose this when I was enlisting gave them plenty of reason to give me a dishonorable discharge after I served honorably without a single incident for 6 fucking years of my life.
