01/03/11(Mon)01:19 No.44287671I'm in a uni anime club, and there are certain things I enjoy but would never try to get the club to watch. For example, - PSG - Precure - Star Driver - Needless - Nanoha
If
you don't have the sense for not recommending those kind of shows,
you're an idiot. Let me tell you why. 85% of any anime club, high school
or uni, is bound to be made up of one of two types of people. And
emphasize why if you go, you should quickly find the 15% minority and
befriend them hard.
1) Narutards. These people wear headbands at
cons, go to cons, think cat ears are sugoi, etc. They hate anything that
isn't super popular in america, and are against loli, ero, crude humor,
and any animation different from what they're used to (I was told
recently that Tatami Galaxy is complete shit because the characters
speak japanese unrealistically fast and for too long, and the art is
unfinished and crappily drawn)
2) DEEPfags, who believe
themselves above such philistine things as watching anime to enjoy
yourself. They hate things like Code Geass and PSG and K-ON, because the
concept of watching an anime because it's "fun" is alien to them. They
only watch mature shows for mature viewers such as themselves, such as
Mushishi and Planetes.
These will make PSG-styled shows impossible. Welcome to anime clubs. |
