 12/15/10(Wed)19:01 No.43593984The year is 1973. A
normal, average high school student in London ends up in the wrong
place at the wrong time, beholding a situation in which men dressed in
strange robes decorated with eldritch runes are transporting a package
to a truck. Suddenly, the military arrives and starts to shoot at
the robed cultists, who attack back. In the confusion, the student
somehow ends up with the small package in his hands and, frightened,
escapes with it. When he gets home, he cautiously goes to his
bedroom, sits at his desk, and unwraps the package's covering, revealing
a book with a title inscribed in a 'foreign' lagnuage. "Necronomicon", a
deep voice resounds in the student's head. Deeply nervous, the student
refuses to open the book, but curiosity wins in the end, and he looks at
a random page. As soon as he throws so much as a glance at the
writing, his mind contorts in pain. Visions of eldritch abominations,
foreign physics, a different way to see the world and more flow into the
student's head. The student, amidst the hellish show, realizes that
he will die of insanity if this keeps up. So, with a mighty surge of
willpower, the student forces the visions down, and manages to translate
a tiny, a bare minimum of the book, before closing it with a mighty
boom.
  "T r u e w o r d s a r e p o w e r."
  Soon after, the student faints.
  The
following day, when the student wakes up, he realizes that he sees
things now in a different way. No longer does he find anything
disgusted, but feels oddly calm in any situation. Weeks later, when he
is being assaulted by criminals, the pressure forced on him makes him
remember what he read on the book, and he feels the need to say
something.
"Why don't you die, bloody scum!" |
