I agree, we need some actual moderators, but moot couldn't give a fuck about the state of this website, so we are stuck with it as it collapses during this final 1-2 years of it's transition to /b/3.0, you can't educate and inform every idiot the pops on here to lurk, keep their opinions (without a shitstorm) and do their own research.

General threads currently appearing EVERY day:

    Strike Witches
    Raildex
    K-on

K-on has stopped airing 2 months ago, get over it.

As for Strike Witches, I don't know what's gonna happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if they're the next ones getting the banhammer.

Index is currently airing, General is serving its purpose, nothing wrong there.

But anyway, the only thread reoccuring on a daily basis that has a GOOD reason to do so is the drawfags thread.

Also, stop crying K-on faggots, it's been weeks since anything new was discussed about K-on, faggotry has its limits.

I have a feeling Strike Witches will be okay, since they always have a fair bit of new material being churned out. The anime may have ended for the time being, but they are still translating and releasing manga chapters and other things. On the other hand the K-On general hasn't got a lot going for it in terms of releases, since the manga and anime have ended. I don't mind either one's existence, but I am just saying for the sake of the argument.

They're interpreting something like "long term discussion can go in /anime/ please" like that.
Personally I find it so laughable I'm not sure if they're trolling or being serious.
The mere assumption that absolutely all discussion should be only about the current season is an offense to anime as a whole, to every old classic, to every nostalgia show you liked before.
No old stuff, only current stuff.
Furthermore its not specific or clear too. A rule can't be like that, that is a guideline only.

The problem isn't people not knowing an anime, it's being a shitposter faggot. If a person posts saying "Where can I get anime torrents" or "What's so-and-so animu about?", it isn't much work to say tokyotosho or give a summary, and even if you think it's too much work, you can ignore it. That's not the worst part though, it's the POSTER THEMSELVES. Anybody that posts instead of googling or tineyeing is a huge fucking retard and is almost certainly an underage newfag. And they are the worst people on /a/.

I've seen a couple cases like that, but 90% of the people asking for sauce are asking from some random screen titled 1291002345.jpg or some shit like that, one of an anime from the year 2000, and are legitimately curious. It is you, who is lumping everyone who asks for sauce into one single group, and calling the group cancer, that is the problem. So is the reason you guys act like elitistfags is because you think it fends off some imaginary apocalypse? I have news for you, giving the source to a couple people and being friendly won't turn this into a shithole like other communities. This senseless fear of some impending force of bad posters has to stop, because you have yet to see that in your slew of sacrificing legit discussions, you yourselves are no better than them. To stop what you fear, you are becoming what you fear, and you can't even see that for yourselves. You want to keep the status quo of a million things wrong with this community that come from elitism, because you fear just fixing one issue will bring doom and gloom, but you don't see that maybe you can improve and still not lose your identity.

I don't mind the saucefags, its the idiots who cant look at a filename or the thread that are annoying. Helping/getting angry at one of those people does nothing compared to the massive amount of people who will take their place. If we had a sticky of sorts, it would at least cut down on this faggotry, way more than helping/berrating one idiot would. Sadly, we all know the mods are useless trolls.

I wish /a/ had rules in a sticky like they do:

Don't post like a Japanophile moron.
Nobody cares that you know four words of Japanese from watching so much Urotsukidoji. Don't intersperse stupid Japanese phrases into the stuff you post.
Similarly, stupid Japanese smilies make you look like an inarticulate choad. We have lots of horrible smilies on SA already: use those!

Don't have multiple threads for the same show.
We're not going to ban worn-out threads about shows like FLCL or Evangelion anymore. However, if your thread sucks or is a duplicate of another thread in the live forums, the hammer's coming down on your head. Just look back however pages are active for a thread about the series you want to talk about before posting a thread.

If you're talking about external material (official manga, preview magazines, etc) in an ongoing series' thread, use spoiler tags and label them every time!
This should be obvious. Not everyone watching _____ anime has read the manga/ wants to be spoiled by what's going to happen! Be courteous and use the tags and label them properly as (MANGA SPOILERS) or (MAGAZINE SPOILERS) every time, or if it's a manga, take it to a new thread!
