It's more that Sherl's is more general-purpose (there are a whole lot of different things you can do with telekinesis) while the others' Toys are more circumstantial.

Cordelia's Toy is probably the most useful for a detective, as it enhances all the senses and allows for detection of things you normally wouldn't be able to pick up.

Nero's Toy is best in an area that has lots of machines and electronics.

Elly's Toy is best when you need brute force.

Cordelia's senses would be good for all of that detective work that they never do anyway, but it's absolutely worthless in a fight. During episode three when she was being chased by the guy with the sword, I found myself wondering how things would be any different if she had her toys.
And Nero's didn't make much sense to me. In the first episode, she controlled a crane by stabbing the control panel with a knife. Couldn't she have just used the control panel?

When I first began this series, I thought it was one of the most generic pieces of magical girl shit I'd seen in a while.

AND KOKORO GOT KIDNAPPED RIGHT THERE.
AND NO ONE DID A FUCKING THING.

And everything was good.

Episode 3 did it for me and made me want to see the rest of this series.
