I wear anime shirts from time to time but not to brag but because I need something to wear on that day. I watch anime and read manga on the university's computer lounge not to show people I like this stuff but because I'm bored and have nothing to do (also, majority of the students in my uni read manga online so it's not that embarrassing).

As for bullies; they can just fucking try. I'm well-built and know martial arts. Also, I have relatives in the military.

As for parents, they know very well I'm into anime. Hell, my father was the first one in my family to buy a figure! Now he scolds me when I buy some because they just keep getting more expensive. My mom's into everything Korean and my brother is into anime as well. Imouto's a whore.

Being that I'm training for a job in animation and Illustration, no, I wouldn't beat it out of them. In fact, I'd encourage it. I think animation is a great, untapped medium and it should have more people who love it.

The only problem I see with liking animation is if the person in question is being retarded and obnoxious about it. The same reason why I don't care for most sports fans.
