I thought Redshift was ultimately shallow and anticlimatic. No plot point whatsoever (either mundane or fantastic) gets developed at all.
MC was cool, and is the only good thing about it. He doesn't get much development, but the little he has, it's good.

I'd recommend True Remembrance or Narcissu better for short VNs. And May Sky if you want something purely romantic, but it's not on the same level of the other two (While still nice).

I've rarely seen a VN with h-scenes not fall over its own dick just trying to get to the next one. Fate and Tsukihime are exceptions, Saya is excusable, Sekian no Inganock would have gotten away with it had it been competently written.

Nothing too mind-blowing. Just a fairly touching story along the same vein as Planetarian, Narcissu, and Red Shift. It's about the same length as those too.
Wikipedia has a pretty good description of the plot but I thought it was actually a lot better than it seemed it was going to be.

These threads are why I keep coming back to /a/.

I haven't played a lot of VN's, but I'm definitely saving all these recommendations. Thanks gentlemen (and ladies)!
