  • 4chan turns 7 years old today—October 1, 2003-2010.

To celebrate this occasion, I'm chatting on AIM as "MOOTCHAT".
    OR moot@4chan.org I guess!
And The Social Network comes out today. Concidence? I THINK NOT.

    Holy. Shit.

Ever since QTS started releasing the Bluray rips I've been looking for subtitled versions. I know someone took the dvd subtitles and uploaded them, and I even picked up aegisub and tried my hand at correcting the timing to the raws, but it was just too time consuming.

Finally, a batch download of all the bluray source episodes with subtitles. This is getting a rewatch.

    Are the movies also done?

It is formulaic, but there is always more going on in an episode than just 'the formula'. For the first half of the series for example, Sakura is trying to capture one card an episode. However, there is always something different in addition to this. Often times it has to do with different relationships with different characters, other times its hinting at whats going to happen far later in the series, other times, its as simple as trying to do a book report ect. It sounds mundane, and i guess you could say it is, but the excellent writing, lovable characters, superb character development, a couple of really well done twists about half way through the show, and some really standout episodes in addition to its warm and fun style really help it stand out and make it very enjoyable to watch. So yeah, its formulaic in someways, but it is by no means bad.

    >Is CCS as formulatic and boring as PreCure and Sailor Moon?
I found CCS to be superior to the other two. Boring, definitely not. There's actually a fair amount of subtlety and decent storytelling.

It's what all of the other magical girl series were shooting for.
    >> Anonymous 10/03/10(Sun)23:27 No.40908311

The filler does round out the main cast further than in the manga, no surprise, since Clamp helped write the filler, including the additional characters, such as Meilin. It is the rare case of 'good' filler. With only a couple of episodes appearing to waste time.
    >> Anonymous 10/03/10(Sun)23:31 No.40908416
What good would it do to download BDrips if they're unscaled down to DVD resolution, i see CGirls are ripping it as well, gonna go for that, and don't worry that group is like thora, they just throw in the best subs in there so no faggotry (probably).
    >> Anonymous 10/03/10(Sun)23:33 No.40908498
What happened to Meilin between CCS and Reservoir Chronicle? She was a clingy spoiled brat, but god damn I loved that girl

The fact that upon watching the series a second time that everything a certain character does makes 90 times more sense and shows a secondary set of motives before the Last Judgement Twist.

Lol, first, the shows, no matter the parellels do not exist in the same universe and are not related. There is a very similar inuniverse parellel universe in tsubasa to CCS's universe, but that is all. (you can see from the above statement how confusing tsubasa is.)

In simple terms: Meilin does not exist in Tsubasa nor the Manga of CCS.

Nearly every countries dub raped CCS hard. The North American Dub outright DESTROYED it.

Just go with subs. Its for the best.
