General threads are cancer because they don't address the actual problem: people posting too much and for no goddamn reason. If some new episode airs or something crazy happens, people will flood the front page regardless of some stupid general thread. This isn't a goddamn forum where you need to keep things organized and "post right" but its quality does rely on you not being an idiot (which is difficult for 99% of /a/ users). General threads are the most intrusive, redundant, pointless perversion of what an image board should be. They are not not a cure for multiple threads, they're a band-aid and should be avoided.

I don't like Minami at all. She was my least favorite girl (well, besides Miyuki and Ayano). Usually I like those types of characters but she was just dull.
