course they will, after the record label decides to drop Ritsu because
she lacks "proper moe appeal" and replace her with a young model they've
grooming for pop stardom. Their performance at Budokan will be cited
as "lack luster and terribly underwhelming". After the release of 2
mediocre albums, the band will call it quits and each member will go
there separate ways. Azusa becomes a freelance guitarist, performing on many studio recordings of popular bands. Mugi will become an actress playing minor roles on various TV dramas. Mio
will become head of marketing for a small manga publishing magazine,
eventually she'll receive her own mildly successful reality show. Yui
will be a vagrant, wandering Japan with her beloved Gitah in hand. The
only person who knows where she is her sister Ui who she writes
regularly. Ritsu, during this time, will be in and out of several small bands and eventually start her own small indie record label.
  Several
years later, coming off the success of Mio's reality show, the TvTokyo
will create a new reality show about trying to get the girls together
for a reunion. While most of the band will agree to reunion, trouble
will be had finding Yui and getting Ritsu to agree. Yui will be
difficult track, only having a series of emails sent to Ui from random
cyber cafes as hints. Eventually she'll be found working at a restaurant
in small town outside Osaka. Ritsu on the other hand will be against
the reunion, citing that she has grown beyond the pop rock she used to
play. However she eventually does agree upon finding out the venue for
the reunion: Budokan.
After several long years, the original
Hokago Tea Time is back together on stage, finally reaching their dream
at playing at Budokan. |
