They do have this habit of taking things in a slightly different direction to what you expect. Its what makes the show work.

I always think of Horiguchi's animation work as being more broad, nice to see she can pull of nice subtle stuff too, without taking it too seriously. The Azusa bandage on the forehead thing was a nice touch in that scene.

I don't think they'd make a new season about the kouhais. That wouldn't work, the senpais are the main characters after all.
That's wouldn't be a sequel but a spin off.
