i loved endless eight because of the shitstorm and the suspense at the end of most of the episodes.

Kyo-ani has become a studio that is obsessed with itself, and the fact that it has talented and hardworking animators.

It honestly believes that because they took the time to reanimate and revoice those eight episodes, that the fans would agree that it was a masterpiece of animation and effort.

Endless eight isn't as bad as people make it out to be, it may have been a test of endurance while it was airing but now if you marathon it with some beer and snacks close to hand its actually alright.

I watched them all in their entirety. I won't do it again.

The thing is, there are subtle differences in the various episodes. LOTS of them. It's supposed to simulate the repetition, so that one gets a strong feeling of deja vu by the time the end comes, the same that Kyon feels. Artistically, it makes some level of sense. But really, they should've known it would be a bad idea to make it so damn looooong.
