My castle in the air is a "Band of Brothers"-esque authentic historical epic, except following the exploits of the Spanish Blue Division on the Russian front during WW2. I'm pitching it as an anime for budgetary reasons, but whatever the format it'd be interesting to visit an aspect of the war that's hardly ever touched upon.

OK so it follows a short story about these two for an episode about stage setting event. Jump ahead to them being 16. Now we have teenage kunoichi being trained, these girls now also have to deal with hormones and stuff. This is where the story takes place. Follows them in their adventure to find love. Ends when one of them confesses their love for the other then they fuck.

Ok, so there's a war between two nations. One's aligned with nature and such and the other's all industrial. The story follows a special ops squad in the industrial nation's army that uses grenade launchers that launch canisters of powerful toxins. This squad takes down several important locations that belong to the enemy nation. The industrial side wins the war and proceeds to fuck up the planet causing everyone to die.

How about an anime called "The Golden Man Denis"? The main characters would be Linus Torvalds, Victor Wooten, and a guy called Deven Gallo.

Linus Torvalds is a programmer working on a government project. Everyone is impressed with his programming skills, one colleague even jokingly remarks "it's like he's not human or something".
One day, for some reason he ventures into a restricted area of his workplace, and is attacked by a mad golden man. It turns out that this golden man is part of a secret government project to use alien DNA to create an army of human-alien hybrid soldiers, which would be used to take control of the entire world, and Linus has been working on this project unwittingly.

A rag-tag group of 'supernaturally gifted' (they insist that it can be explained by science) Frankenstein-esque nutjobs fight a secret war against a small, deadly cult of Occultists who seek to raise themselves from the dead in the hope that they can transcend mortality, and become like their God-King, Osiris. The Frankensteins, of course, don't fight much, instead, they create artifical humans and vicious chimeras to fight for them, like good scientists.

The story revolves around a particularly crazy Disciple (a member of the Frankenstein group, the Disciples of Prometheus), his unwilling servant and an Osirian traitor as they try to escape the Osirians and rogue monsters that feed on the flesh of the 'Gifted'.

With this set-up you can have lots of spy-thriller intrigue and action and political philosophising as the Life Scientists try to capture the next link in the chain or convince him or her to follow them, and protect them from assassins... and there can be sex too as the Life Scientists put pairs together and say "okay, get busy guys, we need your embryos already!" There'd be something for everyone.

Set nearing the end of WWII the allies are surrounding Berlin. All of a sudden a stream of zombies starts leaving the city, and trying to attack soldiers. They're slow zombies, so the soldier just laugh at them, shoot them, and go about their day.

It's a comedy, mostly joking about how you would have to be dumb as shit to not be able to handle zombies.
