Because they're not like me, even then, if you do find someone like you, then you both probably understand that it's better to watch on your own time. It's fine and dandy discussing it with each other afterwards, but watching it together is just awkward. I've done this before, it's not that fun.

From my experience, only action and comedy are worth watching in a group. So yeah, I'd pick out all the decent action and comedy anime out there and let them decide which of them we watch the first three or so episodes (or a movie) of. They can finish on their own.
