But I agree with most of /a/ when they say forced drama I felt no real sympathy for otanashi when kanede moved on it just felt rushed and awkward.

Also another thing I disliked was how some of the main characters changed i.e. kaneda and yuri in the last episode were totally different through out the whole former part of the series and became totally different for the last episode.

It was too bad it wasn't any longer. Some episodes dedicated to more of the main characters would have been nice. Kind of like that one episode dedicated to Yui moving on. Too many great characters moved on off-screen at the end without really showing much of their life and the regrets they had.

Series was mediocre, I still watched it - ending was utter shit. They should have spread it out over a longer time span and had the 12 episode length they had perhaps cover the lead up to Otonashi deciding to 'release' everyone from there. Anything more would lower their already dubious quality.

Seems like some people are suggesting I watch Clannad and if it's made by the same author, it might be worth checking out.

What I want to know is exactly how depressing is Clannad? I was only able to go through Angel Beats cause of the occasional action and comedy, but I usually become an emotional mess when a lot of drama is involved. With that in mind, should I still check out Clannad?

Was a good show, kind of moved too fill out my organ doners card a bit by the ending...
