I remember in high school most people thought anime = porn, but most shit I got was from my parents.

They knew I liked anime and were cool with it. Then my sister starts hearing anime = porn from her guy friends. My sister then tells my parents and they soon became very suspicious. It's at the point where I hide my power level from my own family now--which kinda sucks considering they used to not care about it.

Fixed for accuracy, and yes, it's ridiculously annoying. The most annoying one of all was a girl I knew who did a "research" paper on anime. Her "scholarly source" was pretty much some asshat professor at some college who apparently knew of the existence of Pokemon and had somehow managed to google La Blue Girl, so his entire thesis was that the anime that wasn't aimed at very young children was all pornographic in nature. The girl based her entire paper on that guy's paper and even though I listed off some 900 series that aren't aimed at children or pornos, she still refused to believe me, saying that I just must not have seen as much as the other guy, who obviously hadn't actually seen any anime.
