Honestly, my opinion of most of the 'main' characters dropped. Only ones I still like as much as I used to are Hinata and maybe Naoi.

Objectively the series wasn't great, but damn it had it's moments. The final few minutes of the episode were one of them.

But his soul will chose to go back in time, the time when he was happiest, and he will be at first episode.

The only reason Angel Beats! just shot up above it was because that out of left field reveal about Kanade having Otonashi's heart and I was genuinely not expecting that. It's because of this 'shotgun blast' like load of info fired at you that it just takes you from sniffling to sobbing in a matter of seconds.

It's also inbetween because of it's ending. Had I not seen the broadcast and see the small epilogue scene, I definitely would have felt like, 'OMG, THIS IS MORE PAINFUL THAN AIR BECAUSE THERE'S ONLY LOSS AND NO GAIN! HE'S ALONE, SHE'S GONE, THE PERSON HE SAVED AND LOVED, HE'LL NEVER SEE HER AGAIN!!!'

Yeah, to some, it's gonna be forced drama but you know what? I don't fucking care. I enjoyed it because it was executed properly. If you wanna have good drama, you have to have good timing accompany it. And as far as I am concerned, that was the best timing I'd ever seen, even better than Air because you know from about 3 episodes prior to the ending what's going to happen to the protagonist.

So yeah, fuck all the haters, I enjoyed my ride through this show and it went out with a great ending. Someone told me the same when I watched Clannad. Yeah, it's pretty much hit and miss.

I wouldn't know about this episode. Downloading at the speed of old asian ladies on the highway.

That ending was surprisingly.. dull. The episode was nice and all but the whole scene with Kanade and Yuzuru seemed far too rushed in my opinion. I liked the effect of the ED going in reverse. Then they had to go and ruin it with that clip at the end though, it honestly served no purpose other than blueballing you.

this series had the potential to be amazing, however they fucked up pacing so bad. I enjoyed all of the episodes, but it seems like they ran out of airtime and had to use plot magic to make everyone disappear. My favorite episodes were 3 and 10, those were also the most emotional ones for me, i barely teared up at 13. If this was twice as long we could actually get more back stories and have a nonforced climax. This ending was near impossible to predict because of the messed up time line (with relation to real world). Episode 13 in itself is pure shit, basically they had a bunch of otaku pandering with shitty jokes and moe for the first 15 minutes, then when they are alone they "surprise" you with this heart shit and expect you to go bawwwwwww.

Also TK goes to shit tier now, just a LULWUT joke character, i was hoping for an explanation.
