How popular are /a/ materials in your country? Anime and stuff is a nerdy subculture at best unless you're living in Japan. But on a fairly large internet forum, regardless of the subject, you can always find at least one person who like that kind of thing. Is there any chance for /a/ materials to be "accepted" as normal in the future?

Not unless Cowboy Bebop, Akira, Robotech, Evangelion, and GitS star Megan Fox.

    >/a/ materials

Uh, what? Can you explain what that's supposed to mean?

If you are asking whether it will be safe to reveal your power level within the near future? No.

Hueco mundo representative here, it's fairly well known, mostly because of Saint Seiya, DB/Z/GT, Sailor moon, and the classics.

HOWEVER, the fanbase here is probably the worst, they keep sucking Kuromada's dick for new saint seiya and think the current anime includes elfen lied and Hellsing TV. Plus narutards everywhere.

It's like that in Japan, too, at least from what I've heard. Manga is fine, anime isn't, unless you're not an adult.

"Anime and stuff" is somewhat fairly normal from where I'm from. I live in an extremely Asian-dense area and most of the youth, even a good number of the girls, accept guys watching anime as another activity/interest.

Frenchfag here, lot of people read manga, we have some anime airing on free TV channels, the Japan Expo is getting bigger every year, and we start having japanese music sold in stores.
We have a lot of anime since the 70s, so everyone know Harlock, DBZ, City Hunter, Grendizer, and others stuff ...

Anime is nerdy even in Japan.
Mangas though are fine, so are LNs.

In most of developed SEA, mango is pretty big business.

Animu has only become big in the past decade or so, especially in Singapore and Thailand. Although animu has always been shown on TV.
