First of all: I said Pokemon Special. This is the manga. It's an entirely different storyline from the terrible anime. Different characters, different plot (Another difference: the manga actually has one!). Special is generally very well-liked on /a/.

I've read Pokemon Special, and as I said before, to me, it was average. Nothing that really stands out. Just an ordinary shounen manga. The start was pretty slow, and after a while, things got a bit interesting but they quickly worn down to boring.

I recently got hooked on this. I can't believe how GOOD it is. Even the arcs that I think will be the weaker suddenly become AWESOME.

Emerald annoys the fuck out of me, but goddamn if that wasn't a kickass end. The D/P/P arc started off so differently from the others I was sure I wouldn't like it as much as the others, but by the time the children had to go to the lakes I was SO SAD because they make such an awesome team.

It is nice to see a team that starts together and gets along as well as they do. A nice change of pace from the rest.
