Good, but short and mostly self-contained series get no love, even when they deserve it.

I was fascinated with the character designs long before I had watched the series, but since I never noticed anyone talking about it I took a while to get around to it. I like these shows that explore people's deaths. Shinigami no Ballad was similar and also pretty good. I've wondered if I should pick up Jigoku Shoujo, but I've heard it's rather repetitive.

the problem is that, while practically every episode after ep2 was tying the main story together, the first two episodes pretty much set a tone for the series that it never intended to follow
if at the end of the 2nd episode you were all "fuck yeah, mailman from the dead with guns and a staff and can fucking fly" the rest of the show pretty much lets you down
